About the author

I live and work in Petrozavodsk, Karelia.

I think I have been fascinated by knitting since my early childhood. And now decorative arts and craft are my primary occupation, and also my way of life.

In my creative activities, I am trying to combine Russian and Karelian technique and ornamental traditions with contemporary trends in the textile design, doing it with great care, though boldly. I am especially excited by experiments with the color and different materials.

I am a member of the Guild of Applied Arts and Crafts of the Republic of Karelia.

My works have been exhibited on different occasions in Petrozavodsk, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, on the Solovky Island, and also in Finland and Sweden. One can find them in private collections in Russia, as well as in the USA, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, France, Japan and Argentina.

I am taking part in several international projects aimed at revitalization of traditional crafts. It’s my great pleasure to give master-classes and to work with students of different age.
